Meet Miss Catherine

Hello friends! I hope you are having a fabulous week! Today I would like to show you one of my Christmas presents from my wonderful husband. I know Christmas was so long ago, but like my savvy grandma used to say it's better late than never.

Most girls, when ask by their husbands what do they want for Christmas, their answer is probably, new shoes, a new purse, an outfit, perfume, jewelry... and so many other wonderful things... but this chick over here, gets excited about furniture or home decor. In this case, my answer was a Santos Doll!!

Santos dolls are not every body's cup of tea, but there is something about them that I love and I feel really attracted to them!

The real deal is very hard to come around and expensive, so Hubby ordered mine from Ballard Designs.

I love the authentic and antique look of it and all the little details.

Look at all the details, the earrings, the crown...

The chippy paint...

The beautiful colors, patina and detail in the base...

Isn't she gorgeous!!

She warms up my entry hallway with her beauty! and she puts a smile on my face every time I walk by! :)

Speaking of my entry hallway, come back tomorrow for a tour of my entry!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

  1. Cristina, I've never seen these dolls, thanks for sharing!
Do you think I can find it in Spain? I use to go there for summer holidays or just to spend a weekend maybe I can buy one.
    Have a nice day

    1. Hi Manu, I am not sure where they sell them in Spain. I don't think I ever saw one there, but may be in some flea market! I think your best bet will be online!
      Thanks for visiting!

  3. I really like Santos dolls too. I have one myself. I like how they add a European flavor to a room. Yours is very pretty! That was so nice of your husband to give that to you for Christmas.

  5. I am just like you in this area of decorating and a Santos doll is on my wish list too.

But alas I have done my research, priced them and the real deal is out of my price range.
This is a stunning reproduction of a Santos doll-what a sweet hubby.
    I am happy for you!
Thank you for sharing this with us at TOHOT and also for the tip on where I can get one!
