Homemade Pillows

My grandma was a very talented embroiderer and made lots of these little tapestries.

(I know mom, I should of iron them!)

I loaded my suit case in one of my trips to Spain and brought them home with me. I didn't know what I was going to do with them but they were too precious to leave behind.

I have a lot of drop cloth fabric left over from projects, so I decided to make some pillows.
I cut a piece of drop cloth according to the pillow measurements, and sewed the tapestry in the middle, that will be the front of my pillow, I cut another piece of drop cloth the same size for the back, some cord  piping (I found it at JoAnn's) in the middle and there you have it!!

I chose the happier ones with colorful flowers to add a little touch of spring!

Last week I got very excited with some warmer days. Yes, we hit the 50s woohoo, snow started to melt, I saw the light at the end of the tunnel. I was planing on sprucing up my front door for spring, give it a coat of paint, buy some new planters and add some colorful flowers, may be make a wreath for the front door. And Boom, we were hammered with more snow yesterday!!!

Hope you enjoyed my pillows! thanks so much for stoping by!!
XOXO
