The New Old Hutch

Last March I decided to sell my dining room set and redecorate that room.
The furniture and the style of the room was way to formal for my taste and lifestyle now.
I was a lot more formal at a younger age, pre-kids, than now.
I rather to have a more informal look and furnishing. Something I can enjoy with little children without worrying to much about scratches and destroyness. I am also letting my French Country side and love for French Country style come out and shine thru!
I will share my dining room make over another day.
Today I'm going to focus on the Hutch.
After all my formal dining room furniture was gone. I needed a hutch to replace the previous one.
I search craigslist and finally found this one on a Facebook yard sale.

I really liked the style of it. Kind of French Country. Don't you think?
I'm in love with white and my safety color is usually Old White by ASCP. But this time I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and try something else. Another color that I love is Paris Gray by ASCP. So I decided to paint the inside of the hutch Old White and the outside Paris Gray with some touches of Old White.
Then I lightly sanded it to distress it a little bit and applied a coat of clear wax and a coat of dark wax over the clear one.
And here is the result!

I also love the hardware. It's the original that the hutch came with.

Thanks so much for stoping by and reading my hutch makeover. I hope you enjoyed it!
Have a lovely day!! :)
XOXO
